Crystal Palace Baseball
Whatever happened to the Crystal Palace Baseball Team? 'at the Crystal Palace the first match of the Baseball Season was played between teams representing respectively Crystal palace and the Remingtons, and the Life-Boat Saturday Fund held its May Day Fete. Needless to say, there were plenty of people on the Sydenham heights...after nine innings had been played, the Crystal Palace team won by 8 runs'(Penny Illustrated Paper, 8 May 1897)
