Workers on the Underground have often reported strange incidents such as unexplained noises and sightings of people' that had reputedly died years earlier. This talk draws on material from The Haunted London Underground (published by The History Press, 2008) and explores the various stories and accounts of supernatural activity'.
SELFS meets at The Old King's Head, Kings Head Yard, 45-49, Borough High St, London, SE1 1NA. Talk starts at 8:00 pm, entrance is £2.50.

I work in a deskbound position on the Tube but I do have to go out on occasion to check on things. As someone born an bred in London there is something VERY wrong about jumping onto tracks and wondering down a tunnel. You can hear other trains that have not finished running on other parts of the network which sound far too close for comfort. Oxford Circus has a disused area which is pleasingly dimly lit and Tomb Raider-ish. No Lara Croft lookalikes unfortunately, just a fat foreman telling you not to touch anything and the occasional tube mouse.
sounds frightening enough to me
What was scary was the meeting clashing with the Millwall / Leeds match being shown downstairs. It added a nice commentary to the talk.
