Thanks to Gabz on Twitter (The Come Up) for the reminder that it was ten years ago today that footballer David Rocastle died an untimely death at the age of 33 from non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Best known for his time at Arsenal, he also played for Leeds, Manchester City, Chelsea, Norwich City and Hull, as well as England.
He went to Turnham Primary School in Brockley and Roger Manwood Secondary School in Brockley Rise (as did Maxi Priest).
Love to his wife Janet, son Ryan and daughters Melissa and Monique.
Not going to lie though, the greatest moment in my football supporting days was seeing him lose at Wembley in 1988 (Luton 3 Arsenal 2).
