Fairytale of New Cross
Somebody had to write a song called the Fairytale of New Cross, and Greg McDonald has. Here he is performing it on Xfm earlier in the year:
Yes, you're right in fact it was a whole album of that name. But I don't think they actually had a song called that. They did have a song called Lager Daleks though, the sometime name for the Goldsmiths Tavern in the 1990s.
The cherry reds, a london based pop punk band made an ep called fairytale of new cross a few years back if I recall
