Keeping track with comings and goings at the Rivoli Ballroom in Crofton Park is a full time job. Whenever I see red velvet on TV by Rivoli alarm bells go off. Take a look for instance at the Iceland 2010 Christmas advert, featuring food, can can dancers and Jason Donovan. That is the Rivoli isn't it?
Last month Kings of Leon played a gig there for Radio 1, and Brockley Central reports that Kenneth Brannagh's film My Week With Marilyn was being filmed there earlier this month, starring Emma Watson.
